Graduate students can receive NELC conference travel support funds, once Doctoral Travel Grant (DTG) funds have been exhausted.  Each student may not exceed the max of $500 for all cumulative conference trips per academic year (July 1-June 30).

To first use your DTG funds available, from UCLA Division of Graduate Education, please refer to their policies and guidelines. The above and below information is for NELC conference travel support funds only. Some policies may overlap.

To request NELC conference travel support funds, you will need to submit the following to nelcgraduates@humnet.ucla.edu.

  2. If presenting, proof of your accepted paper at the conference.

Your NELC conference support request will be reviewed, approved, and processed by the NELC SAO. Processing times can range from 2-5 weeks, so plan ahead if you will be using these funds to purchase flights or lodging in advance of the conference you are attending.
